CF numbers, titles, stickers – without the DMV line

From jet skis to fishing boats – we’ll keep your adventures covered.

Bought a boat, bringing one from out of state, or need new stickers – we handle the registration, title work, and trailer paperwork so you do not spend a day at a window. Most clean cases submit same day. Stickers are usually same day when the record is clear. Titles and plates arrive by mail from DMV.

We serve boat owners across California from our El Cajon office.

What we handle

  • First California registration for boats and personal watercraft
  • Out-of-state to California transfers
  • Title transfers for private sales, gifts, and estates
  • Duplicate or corrected titles and registration cards
  • Renewal of CF numbers and issuance of current year stickers
  • Replacement stickers if lost, stolen, or damaged
  • Hull Identification Number (HIN) corrections and guidance
  • Trailer registration or title clean up for the boat trailer
  • Address updates so your mail stops bouncing

If your case is messy – missing bill of sale, title signed wrong, old lien still showing – we map the fastest legal fix.

What to bring

  • Government ID
  • Current title and the most recent registration card if you have them
  • Bill of sale or purchase agreement with price and date
  • HIN and CF number if already assigned
  • Any lien release or payoff letter if a loan was on the vessel
  • For out-of-state boats – the out-of-state title and registration
  • For trailers – plate number or VIN and any trailer paperwork

Not sure what applies – bring what you have and we will sort it.

How it works in our office

  1. Quick intake – is this a new registration, transfer, renewal, or replacement
  2. Document check – we catch gaps before they become rejections
  3. Fees and taxes calculated – DMV, use tax if due, plus our service fee shown up front
  4. Submission – we process through DMV systems or prepare a clean mail-in packet when required
  5. You leave ready – current stickers when eligible and proof of submission while titles or plates arrive by mail

Common California scenarios we clean up

  • Bought from a private seller – title signed wrong – we correct it and submit
  • Brought a boat from another state – we route any inspection steps and issue CF numbers
  • Lost your sticker or card – we replace and update your address
  • Trailer paperwork is a mess – we fix the trailer record so launching is hassle free
  • Estate or inherited vessel – we prepare the right affidavits before you waste a trip

Tips that save time

  • Match the HIN on the hull to your documents before you come in
  • Bring a clear bill of sale with seller and buyer names, date, price, and signatures
  • If there was a loan, bring the lien release so your new title prints clean
  • For out-of-state transfers, bring both title and registration if possible
  • If your mailing address changed, tell us so your stickers arrive on time

FAQ

Do I need to bring the boat
Usually no. Paperwork and correct HIN are the key. If an inspection or verification is needed for your case, we will tell you and line it up.

How fast is this
Clean renewals and many replacements – same day stickers. Titles, plates, and some transfers are printed and mailed by DMV.

Can you help with a missing title
Yes. We can request a duplicate and transfer ownership in one packet when allowed.

What about the trailer
Boat trailers have their own records. We handle trailer registration, titles, plates, and replacement stickers the same visit.

I bought out of state – anything special
We will confirm what California needs for the vessel and the trailer, check taxes, and make sure your CF number and stickers are issued correctly.
